GROUPER SEASON IS FINALLY HERE!!!

Hi again everyone. After a long, cold and windy winter, it looks as though spring is finally here! The weather has been great and the fishing is getting better! Grouper season will open tomorrow and the people are coming out to catch 'em. We are looking pretty busy over the next week or so with all of the above factors coming together along with spring break and Easter vacation. If you are looking to come fishing, be sure to call and reserve your spot because the boats have been filling up. Also, if you are looking for a half day trip in the afternoon, be sure to allow plenty of travel time. The traffic has been heavy with beach goers so it can take up to 30 minutes or so to get across the causeway to the beach. Parking in the afternoon has been crazy so if you are going on the afternoon trip, it is best to get there around noon so you can grab the parking spots vacated by the morning patrons. Are 14 Hour trip is going on April 11th spots are limited and going fast. So if you are looking for that trip, call to reserve your spots today! Keep your eye on the blog for further trip info, including 34 Hour trips coming this June!!

Fishing has been decent when the weather lets us out with catches including plenty of grunts and a few grouper to be released. Grouper season opens in a few short weeks and I wanted to inform everyone of our next 14 Hour trip. It will be on April 11, 2010 departing at 4am and returning at 6pm. The price is the same as before and we will be taking reservations for the general public starting March 8, 2010. Please call for reservations and questions. We will soon be adding our email to our website for any questions you may have. Thanks for you patience waiting for this. We have recently started a Double Eagle Newsletter to inform our loyal patrons of upcoming events and trips on the Double Eagle, leave your email either on the blog, which will not be published, or call our ticket office. The newsletter will give you information on new trips before it is advertised on the web. The next newsletter will be giving the dates and times for our next 14 Hour and the 34 Hour Overnight Trips for the summer! Stay tuned for more details and as always thanks for choosing the Double Eagle for your fishing needs!!
